The logbook for European recreational pilots

Every hour, every landing, every page.

Your flying life, recorded.

Altavi is an online pilot logbook made by pilots who wanted a better one. It knows the European rules, keeps your ultralight and SEP time apart, and never holds your data hostage.

Free to use, with no limit on flights. Works in the browser on your phone, tablet and computer.

Why Altavi

Free, with no flight limit

A complete logbook at no cost: flights, aircraft, airports, the flight map, the printed logbook and full export.

Knows the European rules

Tracks your class rating revalidation and the 90-day passenger rule, and counts ultralight and SEP time separately.

Your data stays yours

Export everything whenever you like. Altavi is run by a European company under European data protection law, and your data is kept in Europe.

Designed for the ramp and for the desk

Altavi was built from the start for two jobs. On your phone it is made for quick capture beside the aircraft, with big buttons and Quick Log one tap away. On a tablet or computer it becomes the full logbook for reviewing, editing, printing and exporting.

It runs in the browser on any device and can be added to your home screen. Native apps for Android and iPhone are in development.

Features

Know where you stand before your rating expires

Altavi follows the SEP revalidation rules in FCL.740.A. It shows both routes, by experience or by proficiency check, what you have already met, which flights count, and when your window opens.

Mark the refresher flight with your instructor and it is counted. Record the revalidation and the history is kept with your rating.

Ultralight, SEP and glider time, each in its own column

Many of us fly more than one kind of aircraft. Altavi records the class with each aircraft and each flight, so ultralight hours never slip into your SEP totals, and simulator time is held apart from both.

Bring your whole logbook with you

Import from ForeFlight, LogTen, MyFlightbook, SkyDemon, capzlog, FLYLOG.io, Vereinsflieger, NinerLog and Wader, from an EASA or FAA layout, or from your own spreadsheet. You see every row before anything is saved, and an import can be undone.

Leaving is just as easy: one click exports every field of every flight.

Four taps on the ramp, the rest at home

Pick your aircraft, then tap once each for off blocks, take-off, landing and on blocks. Quick Log records the times as they happen.

With your permission it uses your phone's location to suggest the nearest airfield, for departure and again when you land. Finish the entry later at your desk.

Made by pilots who wanted a better logbook

Altavi comes from T1/Abra, a small company that has been building software in Reykjavík, Iceland, since 2010. It began as the logbook we wanted for our own flying: club aircraft, ultralights and homebuilts, small airfields, and a paper logbook on the shelf.

It is built for that kind of flying first. If something is missing for yours, tell us.

Questions pilots ask

Will my authority accept an electronic logbook?

That is decided by each national authority, and the rules differ. Altavi gives you a printed logbook you can sign and have signed. Check your own authority's requirements before you give up the paper book.

Which rules does Altavi check?

Today: the 90-day passenger rule (FCL.060), SEP class rating revalidation (FCL.740.A) and medical validity. Not yet: LAPL recency and national ultralight rules. Your authority's word is always final.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Altavi runs in the browser on Android, iPhone, tablets and computers, and can be added to your home screen like an app. It needs an internet connection.

What happens to my data if I leave?

You can export every flight at any time, free, and delete your account yourself. We do not sell or share your logbook.

What does "free for life" mean for Early Birds?

Your account keeps the Plus tier at no charge for as long as Altavi is offered. The full terms are linked below.

Which languages?

English for now. Times are in UTC and durations in decimal hours.
